Roberto started his career in advertising and later migrated to the world of fashion. Having originally trained in design and then honing his business acumen skills in wholesale; he now gets to enjoy the best of both worlds.

After working with premiere fashion brands like Gucci, Valentino and Missoni, Roberto has taken his keen sensibility and experiences in building a business to focus on concept design & strategy.

With 20 years of experience in esthetician and nail services, Yumi Cai previously owned her own nail salon and was most recently based in the neighborhood at Black Label Salon 25 on Exchange Pl.Already servicing many residents within 70 Pine, Yumi is excited to join the Mutha Pearl family.

After getting his start in Bergdorf Goodman as a Visual Merchandiser, Andre found his passion in the world of hair and was personally trained by the Creative Directors of Jacque Dessange, studying in both New York and Paris. With over 15 years of experience, he has worked with the top salons in New York City- Brad Johns, Oscar Blandi, Frédéric Fekkai, and Rita Hazan. Andre’s work has been featured in Vogue, Marie Claire and Allure. His styling and creative vision landed him lead stylist positions in multiple fashions weeks working with top brands like Oscar de la Renta, Proenza Schouler, Alice + Olivia, Rachel Roy and Dennis Basso.

As quoted by Vogue, Andre Rodman is “known for creating perfectly tousled layers (think 1950s Brigitte Bardot) and elegant, easy updos and meticulous cuts;” which attributed to him being sought after by celebrities like Zoe Saldana, Ellen DeGeneres, Johnny Depp, Mariah Carey, Renée Zellweger, Jasmine Lobe, and Alexa Stewart.

Shivangi joins Mutha Pearl with a wealth of experience in hair care (15+ years). She is also a wig and extension color specialist. Shivangi is also founder of Mata Ayurveda, a range of hair oils, creams and butters derivative of Ayurvedic teachings.

Originally from Ecuador Sonia joins Mutha Pearl with over 5 years of experience. Most recently worked at Sundays NoMad and Element Brooklyn. Sonia is dedicated to nail health as well as Gel-X and Nail Art. Sonia says the crazier the better!

Danielle is a self-taught nail artist, with over 8 years of nail enhancement and nail art experience combined. Before becoming a nail artist, Danielle was a teachers assistant and paraprofessional for children on the spectrum. During her free time, she would perfect her nail artistry.

After realizing that being a nail artist was Danielle’s calling, she decided to attend The American Beauty School and become a nail artist full time. Intricate designs and character art is Danielle’s specialty. She loves to draw and paint, so being able to use others nails as tiny canvases is a dream come true.

Josie Deason, FNP-BC is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a passion for aesthetics and skin health. She believes healthy skin starts within and can be achieved with a personalized and holistic approach.When she is not working, you will find her at the gym with her fiancé or exploring the city with her puppy, Sammy!
